Integral Welcomes MERATH as its Newest Member

As Integral embraces greater diversity and becomes more locally relevant, we are so pleased to announce MERATH as our newest Member of Integral. MERATH is a Christian NGO based in Lebanon. They come alongside local churches and faith-based organisations in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq to help them implement relief and development projects for vulnerable individuals and families in their communities. They meet people’s basic needs and provide education, child protection, livelihoods and recovery support. You can read more about their work here.

Lucas Shindeldecker, the Director of MERATH, says, “We have had the opportunity to work with Integral and its Members, and are excited to join as a Member ourselves! Our common commitments to serving with quality through partnership and localisation are directly aligned and we look forward to learning and collaborating with organisations with broad and diverse experience.”

Carol Bremer-Bennett, Executive Director of World Renew and Chair of the Integral Board, says “We are delighted to welcome MERATH to the Integral family. They bring to us a new headquarter country and sectoral expertise in disaster response, education, child protection and livelihoods. I am particularly impressed with their commitment to supporting local organisations and Churches in times of crises in a holistic way.”

Carol continues, “For over ten years MERATH has been a trusted Partner to many of our Members in our joint responses in the Middle East, and we look forward to benefiting from the skills, perspective and experience that they will bring as we work together to see God’s kingdom demonstrated through the unity of our Members.”
