Tearfund was established in New Zealand in 1975. We approach international aid and development through a partnership model, identifying community organizations and strategic international NGOs who are experts in their field and supporting and resourcing them as best we can, on a case-by-case basis. Through these partners we work across four causes to help those most in need: We protect the vulnerable from Modern Slavery; We Restore hope and peace after disaster strikes; We Sponsor children in need; and we Empower farm-based families to improve their quality of life by helping them develop more prosperous and sustainable livelihoods.
