Water Mission is the newest Member of Integral. George Greene IV, P.E., Water Mission CEO and President, introduces us to his organisation and shares why they have become a Member of Integral …

Who is Water Mission? Please tell us a little about your organisation.
Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that designs, builds, and supports safe water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions for people in the majority world, refugee settings, and disaster areas. Since our founding in 2001, we have served 8 million people in more than 65 countries. Our mission is to honour God by developing, implementing, and sharing best-in-class safe water solutions that transform as many lives as possible, as quickly as possible.
Why do you want to be part of Integral?
We are excited to join Integral because we believe collaboration among Christian organisations allows us to serve more people more effectively and holistically. Integral provides an opportunity to build trusted relationships, share expertise, coordinate during disasters, and work alongside organisations that share our commitment to demonstrating God’s love through practical action.
How do you see your core values align with Integral’s values?
Water Mission’s core values are Love, Excellence and Integrity. These align closely with Integral’s commitment to Christian faith, collaboration, accountability and serving people with dignity. We believe our work should reflect the love of Christ, be carried out with technical and operational excellence, as well as demonstrate integrity in how we steward relationships, resources and responsibilities.
What capacity, experience, or value do you believe your agency brings to Integral in Disaster Responses?
Water Mission brings more than 25 years of experience responding to natural disasters, conflict and displacement. Our engineers and disaster response teams can rapidly assess water and sanitation needs, deploy water treatment and pumping systems, restore damaged infrastructure, and develop solutions that can transition from emergency response to longer-term recovery. We also bring strong technical standards, established supply-chain relationships, and experience working alongside governments, churches, communities and humanitarian organisations.
What are you personally most looking forward to as you join Integral?
I am most looking forward to building relationships with other Christian leaders and organisations that share our commitment to serving people in crisis. I am excited to be part of a broader consortium that addresses more holistic needs, while learning from the experiences of other Members. I also look forward to identifying opportunities for deeper collaboration and exploring how Water Mission’s technical expertise can add value and strengthen our collective impact.
