In April, Integral hosted a series of online meetings, gathering our Members’ CEOs and Heads of Programmes and Marketing. These calls are important for sharing key updates and ensuring good governance, as well as making decisions and learning from one another. During the Integral Marketing Group call, International Health Partners (IHP) shared how Integral collaboration has enabled greater reach and impact in their response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank.

IHP specialises in sourcing and shipping medicines and health supplies to help equip clinics, hospitals and healthcare workers. Since the escalation of conflict between Israel and Hamas in October 2023, access to essential medical care has been extremely limited for Gaza’s two million residents.
With a healthcare system on the brink of collapse and very few functioning medical facilities, 12 Integral Members have supported IHP, enabling the delivery of essential medical supplies to three Partner organisations working in Gaza. With this combined funding, IHP has been able to supply critical trauma wound dressings and primary healthcare medication to mobile health clinics and field hospitals across Gaza and the West Bank.
Rich Insley, Communications Manager at IHP shared: “As a result of this collaboration, since October 2023 we have been able to support more than 1.3 million patients by delivering 40 shipments of medical supplies. We are very grateful for the support we have received from our fellow Integral Members that has enabled this to happen.”
In addition to having the opportunity to fund IHP’s response in Gaza, Integral Members have greatly benefitted from the communications materials IHP has shared. This has allowed them to tell their own supporters about the situation and the important work their support enables. Sharing photos and stories for other Members to use increases efficiency, and multiples the impact of the resources IHP has gathered.
For Integral Member Tearfund Australia this partnership with IHP has enabled them to respond to the needs in a region where they did not have existing Partners. “It was great to hear how our combined funding has made a significant difference for people in this crisis,” says Phil Lindsay, Humanitarian and Effectiveness Team Leader at Tearfund Australia, adding, “This is a great example of the value that working together in Integral adds.”
