Integral Alliance is pleased to welcome Tearfund Ireland as our newest Member. This brings the Integral membership total to 22 Members with their headquarters in 14 countries …
Allan Bussard Chair of the Integral Board, says: “I am particularly pleased to welcome Tearfund Ireland to the Integral Alliance. Even though a small country, Ireland has an enviable reputation for effective and generous global engagement, and we hope to tap into some of this energy. Also, I am proud of the fact that within Integral we are committed to work with effective agencies of all sizes, from very large to those of more modest size. We value the unique contribution of every Member and look forward to the mutual learning and enhanced effectiveness that Tearfund Ireland can bring to our work.”
Sharan Kelly, Chief Executive of Tearfund Ireland says, “We are delighted and honoured to be accepted as a Member of Integral. Irish people have a strong conviction, commitment and involvement in responding to people suffering across the world – it is in our DNA. As Irish people we are proud of the fact that the Irish Government’s Aid budget was built on the work of Irish missionaries. Our vision is to inspire the Irish local church to continue their legacy and provide even greater support to humanitarian crises across the world. We recognise that we can achieve more through working more collaboratively with Integral Members. We are delighted therefore to be an Irish contribution to the work of Integral and are very much looking forward to collaborating with Integral’s Members and Secretariat and learning from their vast experience and knowledge.”
Tearfund Ireland joining Integral completes the global Tearfund family being part of the Alliance.
