Integral Welcomes New Member to the Alliance

We are so pleased to announce that LM International from Sweden is now our newest Member of Integral.

LM International is a non-profit global faith-based foundation based in Sweden. In 2019 Läkarmissionen and International Aid Services (IAS)-Sweden merged to form LM International Global Foundation. Läkarmissionen was one of the founding Members of Integral in 2004. LM International works to eradicate poverty and to provide water, sanitation and hygiene, health and wellbeing, education and training, livelihoods and food security to the most vulnerable. You can read more about their work here.

Josephine Sundqvist, the CEO of Läkarmissionen / LM International, says, “It is with great excitement and humility that we re-enter the Integral Alliance fellowship. The Global Sustainable Goals and increased humanitarian needs can only be met if we work better and smarter together. By teaming up with Integral Alliance Members, we believe that we can more effectively drive our strong vision ‘Dignified Life – Sustainable World’ in order to witness a greater transformation for communities from within.”

Carol Bremer-Bennett, the Vice Chair of Integral’s Board, says, “We are delighted to welcome LM International into the Integral family. They bring us a new headquarter country and complementary sectoral expertise in education, water, sanitation and hygiene, which will add value to our joint work in disasters. I am particularly impressed with the role they play driving local capacity development in humanitarian leadership, their innovative approaches to localisation, and their work with academia and the private sector in scaling capacity and growth for increased efficiency in humanitarian programming. We are looking forward to collaborating with them as Integral unites Members to alleviate suffering and restore hope, in disasters and beyond.”

With LM International joining Integral, the Alliance membership now totals 21 organisations, headquartered in 14 countries.
