Climate Resilience and WASH Advisor

In this role you are ZOA’s most important advisor in the field of ‘Climate Resilience’ and advisor for our WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) sector. In our Strategic 2023-2026 plan we have included climate as a new strategic priority. In this role you will be involved in integrating climate into all our programs, with the aim of making local communities resilient to climate change and preventing ZOA’s activities from having a negative impact on the climate. You are also ZOA’s advisor for the WASH sector, a sector in which ZOA has been active for years. Both roles (climate and WASH advisor) will require approximately 50% of your time. In this role you are part of ZOA’s Program department, where 16 colleagues work, all with their own specialization.

Manager Finance & Operations (Disaster Response Team)

In this role you provide support in the areas of finance, HR, logistics, purchasing and IT for the various emergency response programs managed by the Disaster Response Team. You supervise the systems and processes in the different areas. As part of the emergency response team, you will travel several times a year in this role for a maximum of 6 consecutive closed weeks.

Reg. Food Aid / GFD Tech Coordinator

Responsible to be the technical lead on both JEOP and WFP projects in Tigray and provide support to the field team to ensure the proper project management cycle is in place. This role will be based at Shire and will frequently travel to all operation areas and is expected to work closely with the Tigray Regional Manager to ensure the implementations are of the highest quality by providing technical and capacity building support, guidance, and direction in a timely and appropriate manner. Will also be responsible for coaching the JEOP and WFP project AP and cluster staff and representing FH Ethiopia in the food cluster and other relevant meetings.

Human Resources Intern

Human Resources (HR) intern will learn and apply international employment laws in HR projects. S/he will work closely with HR Specialist to provide support in administering of HR programs, processes, and systems. Also, s/he will work with International HR team to provide support in implementation of HR processes and systems in accordance with local rules and regulations. Data Management and Communications Intern

The Data Management and Communications Intern/Fellow will work closely with country, regional, and headquarters staff to ensure high-quality project delivery. This position will specifically give interns the opportunity to learn and assist in developing, piloting, and revising new tools for Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (DMEAL). The position provides an opportunity to learn from global leaders through an apprenticeship approach.
